Complex spa treatment

Complex spa treatment is a unique therapeutic program that is ‘custom-fit’ by an attending physician to suit the specific client’s needs in accordance with his/her previously issued medical reports, entrance examination and basic laboratory tests. The core of this spa program is the application of traditional balneological procedures, including all-body hot mineral spring baths, mineral water drinking cures, peat wraps, carbon baths, etc. All of the procedures make full use of natural healing resources. A traditional balneological approach is combined with modern methods such as water therapy, massages, electric-pulse muscle therapy, magnet therapy, etc. Other integral components of the program are nutritional counseling and education on healthy diet principles as well as outdoor activities.

Complex spa treatment in the Savoy Westend Hotel

The Complex Spa Treatment program comprises of 3 spa procedures a day, a maximum number of 21 spa procedures a week, 3 medical examinations (entrance and final check-up– this range does not apply to pediatric examinations where the client is a child) and basic laboratory tests (analysis of the following parameters – creatinine, uric acid, total bilirubin, ALT, GMT, ALP, cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triacylglycerole, glucose, blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, chemical analysis, and urine sediment). The minimum length of Comprehensive Spa Treatment is 7 nights. The program is designed for clients older than 15. If spa treatment is provided, the child is treated in accordance with an official pediatric report. If need be, we will arrange for a pediatric examination if a client arriving in our hotel so requests. A child’s therapeutic program and the dates and times of individual procedures will be scheduled only after the presentation of a medical report approving of such treatment.

Individual spa program for complex spa treatment

Based on a client’s entrance examination and necessary laboratory tests an attending physician formulates an individual spa program which takes into account the client’s condition. The spa program usually consists of:

  • 1 Major procedure a day – a bath (hot mineral water, Jacuzzi, CO2 bath, etc.), massage (hydro massage, classical, reflexive massage, etc.), lymph drainage, etc.
  • 2 Minor procedures – peat wraps, paraffin, electric muscle therapy, magnet therapy, inhalation, etc.
  • Drinking cure adjusted to the client’s physical condition.
  • Diet plan considering the client’s eating habits and health concerns.
  • Exercise (swimming in a pool, work out in a gym, hiking, etc.).
  • Education regarding healthy life style upon the client’s return home.
  • Choice of extra leisure programs (culture, sport, excursions, outings, etc.).
