Opening of the gastronomic restaurant Savoy Royal Restaurant

The luxurious five-star hotel Savoy Westend in Karlovy Vary announces the opening of the gastronomic Savoy Royal Restaurant. For the concept and menu is responsible renowned Chilean chef Rodrigo Retamal (Rodrigo Retamaľ), he offers traditional dishes in original design.

Hotel Savoy Westend is considered one of the most beautiful architectural ensembles in Europe. The hotel is located in the elite historical part of Karlovy Vary and attracts demanding guests from all over the world for more than a decade. In October 2018, we can look forward to opening a la carte restaurant, Savoy Royal, whose goal is not only gastronomic enjoyment but also a healthy lifestyle that is rooted throughout the hotel.

Chef of the new restaurant has become the famous Chilean chef Rodrigo Retamal. Thanks to his Latin American energy and passion Rodrigo has created a special winter season menu that harmoniously combines modern South American flavors with traditional Czech dishes. All of this is complemented by an original presentation of this innovative cuisine and a love for a healthy lifestyle.

“I respect the philosophy of gastronomy of life (gastronomy for life), which consists of a conscientious and responsible approach to food preparation, use of the local products, based on centuries of proven culinary traditions and own experiences,” says Rodrigo. I wanted to emphasize in particular that the most important thing is the origin of the food, their balanced combination, which allows me to create delicious, but undemanding dishes that will delight every guest.”

On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia, a real royal winter menu of the restaurant was created. We can look forward to a hot white tomato soup with basil that perfectly complements baked eggplant with pork and black garlic dressing on apple paper. Further elegant serving of stewed beef cheeks with “fake” dumplings, which leaves no one indifferent. As a dessert – a vanilla pudding with berries and a green tea sauce with biscuit croutons and ginger gel cubes. However, Rodrigo Retamal does not intend to stop – the offer will be regularly updated depending on the season and the upcoming holidays.

The interior of Savoy Royal restaurant also deserves attention. The admirable design and relaxed atmosphere contribute to an unforgettable gastronomic experience. A restaurant area for 50 people will satisfy a lot of people, but it will ensure a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. Live music in the evenings complements the sophistication of the surroundings.

Savoy Royal Restaurant in Savoy Westend Hotel is open from Thursday till Sunday from 18:00 to 23:00, free parking is available for all guests.
